Bryn Nugent is a rising star in the Brazilian Zouk world, based out of Boston MA. As a dancer and instructor she brings a particularly strong focus on solo technique, with a perspective based in her other professional specialties; physics and aerospace engineering. For Bryn, dance has always been a source of pure joy, power, and freedom, and as an instructor, her greatest passion is to help students access that same experience in their own dance.
Coming from an extensive background in classical ballet and martial arts, Bryn’s lifelong love of solo dancing got an unexpected twist when she discovered Brazilian Zouk while at a heels class in 2018. Instantly smitten with this contemporary relative of the Lambada, Bryn has trained extensively with instructors from all over the world and continues to expand her knowledge and skill base wherever she travels. Bryn was part of the 1st place Zouk Babes world championship team in 2024, and continues to teach at events across the US, Canada, Mexico, and France.
Bryn is proud to be the director of the Zouk Babes Boston team, and also teaches weekly technique-focused fundamentals courses for her home community. On the weekends, you can find her all over the world, dancing, teaching, and exploring.
